   Choose the rules and check

   Pick the rules and units at the top of the list, then tap a check.

   Measure the slope and cross slope

   Lay the phone flat on what you check, its long side along the slope. A ramp’s or path’s cross slope is read at the same time. When the phone lies still the reading holds by itself; tap Hold reading to keep it as the check’s last result.

   Check stair dimensions or ramp rise

   For stairs, tap Riser height and Tread depth to type them, then lay the phone across the edges of two steps to compare the pitch. On a ramp, type the length of the run to see its rise.
